It
has a history which goes back to the ancient times. The
village contains original historical buildings, a chapel
and a church.They are demonstrating
the most beautiful examples of Turkish and Greek
architecture carrying the traces of past civilizations.
The parcels in the village were assigned to National
Parks of Turkey and they since 2001 they began to
restore the village in accordance to its original plan.
In its near environment there is the Karina with its old
customs houses, where you can have on the sea-side a
lovely fresh fish.
There
are numerous
beaches in Kusadasi, only 4 km from us(5
min. on wheels), or if you want more seclusion from the
normal tourist spots there is a little known beach of
Pamucak which is about 7 km away from us(10 min. on
wheels). The
National Nature reserve park called
National Park (Dilek
Yarimadasi) has a fantastic beach with such a clear blue
sea it must be visited. For those more energetic among
you the hike up the Canyon is well worth the effort for
the reward of the spectacular views once you reach the
top.
This nature reserve is served by the very efficient
public transport system Turkey has ( the ‘dolmus’) or is
only 25 minutes in a taxi/car.
For
those sports minded among you there are many activities
on offer- deep sea diving, course for beginners or
organised dives for the more experienced, all kinds of
watersports, boat-trips to surrounding areas, jeep- and
horse safari’s to experience the local environment. Or
why don’t you try once ,the turkish bath(hamam)? It
makes you relaxed and if you wish you can have an extra
oil-massage too.
There are 2 massive waterparks which cater for the
youngest to oldest of you and with slides that will
satisfy even the most avid of thrill-seekers among you.
